Lana Srur, MD is a board-certified comprehensive Ophthalmologist, who specializes in both the medical and surgical management of cataracts, as well as corneal and refractive surgery. She earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Florida, followed by an Ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She further honed her skills with a Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
Before joining us, Dr. Srur served as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where she has been a mentor and educator in cataract surgery for residents, trained Cornea and External Disease fellows, and mentored countless medical students since 2008.
She is a proud member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), and a past president of the Miami Ophthalmological Society.
Dr. Srur prides herself on providing high-quality, personalized patient care. Her genuine care and concern for her patients and her emphasis on communication and patient education creates an ideal environment for her patients. She combines compassion and technical expertise, ensuring that every patient feels heard, valued, and supported throughout their journey toward better vision.
During her free time, Dr. Srur enjoys boating, being in nature, and spending time with her husband and 2-year old daughter.
